I’m back from our library convention…
But before I launch into that…
I just have to share the exciting news that Victoria was honored to be chosen as the STEM Secondary Educator of the Year for Wyoming!! (STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering Math… and Secondary means for middle/high school). I am extremely proud of her!! Here’s the video they made about her.
Left to her own devices and planning, this woman can rock science teaching! She’s been all about this type of stuff since she was a kid… She was chosen to try on a space suit by a visiting NASA speaker because she knew how many planets had moons… in fourth grade! She was a Brownie troop leader in high school… and she’d have them out there in the library parking lot, shooting off rockets made from film canisters! Her world is a fun exploration of how and why things work… and I’m happy that the Wyoming Department of Education can see that she’s a treasure I’ve always known her to be!
I love you, Victoria!
Go science your world!

Congratulations to your lovely daughter for her recognition in teaching! That is a very important vocation and very difficult to do well. I applaud her for her good work and for her wonderful recognition for doing it so well.
Congratulations to Victoria and you! What an honor! And how lucky her students are. These are the kind of stories that really should be featured on the news these days.
Congratulations to Victoria! It sounds and looks like she is very deserving of this award! I’m proud of her too!

Congrats to you too Mom! You had to have a big part in helping and encouraging your daughter along the way.
Thanks, I sure tried!
Congratulations, Victoria. As a retired teacher’s assistant, I know how important it is to make learning fun and be involved, as you obviously are.
She does get her students involved! She as fun, too!
