If you look into the distance, beyond the road going over the hill… you can see the level grey smudge of smoke lying down in the Big Horn Basin. When we first were driving up the mountain, we commented on how clear it was, for once! An hour later, this was our view… Then, by afternoon, smoke was everywhere once again.
I’m not ready for fall, but, by golly, it’ll help put these fires out and I can get back to my pretty Wyoming skies!
I should be able to see across the Basin…
Oh, well… what I can see is still pretty fantastic!

Awesome view, for sure! It seems to be an especially bad year for fires in the west–hoping we have more rain soon to smother them and their yucky smoke, which seems to have traveled all over the western part of the country.
Yes Carol. Still a fantastic view.
I live in NW corner of Oregon and our air has been bad for about 2 weeks. It has been compared to the air in Beijing China. They say it is the fires in British Columbia that is impacting us. Hope the winds aloft change soon.
still an awesome view! we’re getting the affect of the fires here in central Iowa, sun is more red than yellow at sunset, looks nice, but sure sorry about the fires,
