#TBT: 2008 Solstice

Posted on December 21, 2018

Looking back after our recent 40˚-50˚ days… to 2008.  It was -30˚ that day… yes, I typed *minus*. Eighty degrees difference!  I much prefer these, and though we have snow on the ground, it doesn’t seem very Christmas-y.

Here’s the link to that day… and check out the next day’s as well… young Dally at work moving calves… I do so enjoy looking back at these for #tbt!

2008 temps. That was cold. 2018 is much better, though as you say not very Christmassy. We have no snow in middle England and temps high 40/low fifties. It will be a shock when we get minus temps!!!

Oh, I remember those wonderful, wonderful puppies! Such beauties. I am thinking back to our notorious “Blizzard of ’77” here in Buffalo. The snow was so high and wind-blown that it covered some of the first floor apartment windows where I lived. But there still was a nice, “puppy-sized” tunnel under the windows so she found a way to “do her business”.

snow always looks best to me located somewhere else, the ground is bare here in central Iowa & looks to stay that way till after Christmas, great for travelers, I’m staying close to home, hope to get in some biking ! Merry Christmas to your family!
