It’s official. We’re now setting on 6.05” of rain for the month. Remember, we’re supposed to get 14” in a year. We kept saying, it’ll make great grass, it’ll be so green, there’ll be wildflowers everywhere. We kept saying it. And saying it. Grateful for the moisture. But, seriously, by the end… all we could do was roll our eyes… and suggest that maybe enough was enough.
Going out to my chickens to let them free range this morning, I could hear the creek loudly rushing by. I decided I better go look at it. I really hadn’t planned well, wearing my muck boots that have a leak. I could tip toe as far as the chicken coop easily, but walking through a field… well, in twenty steps my pants were wet to the knees and my boots squishy inside.
Those two trees aren’t supposed to be there…
I have a feeling our normal fishing holes may be changed a tad bit.
Many places in this country are suffering… floods, tornadoes, hail…
