With posting here and on Facebook and Instagram… somehow, I missed sharing what’s been keeping me busy crafting. For those of you who do follow me on those other places… here’s a bit of a repeat.
The Friends of the Library always enter a wreath in the Festival of Trees. Our original idea of making Christmas gnomes had to disappear when we started to run out of time. I then chose to create a wreath based on the children’s book, Winter Dance. We decorated with all fox ornaments. A few we bought… others were donated… then I made some.
These were simply polymer clay.
Somehow I didn’t take a final pic of this needle felted little fellow…
I did a few little watercolors, like this one to the left of the book.
I only managed one little copper wire fox. I tried some etching, but it didn’t work out. See him?
My favorites were the ones on little stones.
I thought it turned out super cute with white and blue lights, etc.
I was sad to hear the wreath only brought $70 at the auction. We may receive more for it because of the way they share the money. We will hear next week. I guess foxes aren’t as popular as I thought they were!
Oh, well… now off to create some requests and a donation or two to the library Silent Auction!

People must be short of money this year. Love the fox on the stone!
Now I understand the shortage of posts recently. (I don’t believe in Facebook.)
A beautiful wreath. Love all the foxes (I might be in middle England but we have a fox who likes to sit on our quiet road some nights) especially the water colour.
Well, I LOVE the fox theme! And my new great nephew’s room has a fox theme! So very cute!
You have out-done yourself on how many different types of media you discovered to make
so many. Now I’ll have to check out that book!
Very cute!
That is a beautiful wreath, and I love the fox theme! Your painting adjacent to the book is just amazing. What a fun project!
