Let’s celebrate my twelfth year of blogging! Yes, it’s that time already… January 2008 was the first time I blogged.
My, what change…
I rewatched my Tenth Anniversary Video and I’d like to say, my sentiments are still the same. Thanks for reading. Thanks for watching. Thanks for commenting. Thanks for following, liking, and sharing.
Commenting, following, liking, and sharing are the lifeblood of the social media world. If you want to help anyone who is online blogging, selling, or advertising, then you need to follow/like/and share. It’s a numbers game. They get money or fees or sales because you followed/liked/shared, as well as clicked through their links.
That goes for me as well.
If you shop at Amazon, and click through on my link on my webpage, I make money. It’s amazing.
If you share my posts on Facebook, I get more followers, who might click on the link. Same goes for Instagram.
So what’s in it for you? Well, how about a Red Dirt 2020 Calendar?
Here are the rules:
- You MUST either follow/like Red Dirt In My Soul on Facebook, subscribe to Red Dirt In My Soul videos on YouTube, or follow Red Dirt In My Soul on Instagram. That’s a possibility for three entries.
- You MUST tag ONE friend on one of the social media sites so they can come find me. That’s another entry.
- You MUST comment below and tell me what you did. If you’re already a follower, great! Just tell me and I’ll still count it. Your comment below makes for another entry.
You can have FIVE chances to win a calendar. Some people might have three or four. That’s still pretty good. If you miss one of the three requirements above, your entries will be disqualified.
Contest ends on January 31st, 2020 at midnight, Mountain Time.
Ready, set, go! and thanks for twelve wonderful years!
Find me here!
I’ve liked your facebook for a long time. Can’t say if that means follow, or not… would have to check. I subscribed on youtube as soon as I saw it. I’m still not on Instagram, though I keep meaning to get there. It just hasn’t happened. I’ll have to see if I manage to get a friend tagged, since I would love that calendar.
AND… I managed to tag a friend. Nearly forgot and missed that one! :/
Hi Carol, I’ve been following you here in Middle England since 2014 and enjoyed looking back before that time. It is quite a commitment to post daily so thank you. I also follow you on Twitter and will enjoy your videos on YouTube. Having just coped with the adventure of a new phone, it might be a while before I get to the share/like actions ☹️☹️ Well done.
Aside from commenting on my favorite blogs, including yours and Brandon’s, I am not a social media girl – I am not on Facebook nor Instagram, nor do I Tweet. I wonder if many of your readers are in my age group (late 50’s or older) and are not engaged in social media?
Blogging for profit is rare these days, but I know you’d do it anyway… for the joy of documenting ranch life, and sharing your love of family, ranch life, Wyoming and photography. 🙂
Oh, I TOTALLY get it. That’s why, in twelve years, other than clicking through on my Amazon link, I really haven’t asked my readers to like, follow, or share. But in this world, a little extra income helps, and so I asked. That’s the only way I can grow. If it was only through my photos, or my stories, or my short videos, I should have “made it” by now! And you’re right, I’m still gonna do this no matter what. I figured I had to ask… if people say “no” by not entering the contest, hey, at least now I know for sure! Thanks for reading!
hi carol i follow in facebook, instagram and now youtube and i tagged my niece on instagram with bravos picture since he reminds me of her first dog gracie ( a sheltie)
Cool! Thanks!
Congratulations on 12 years!!!! That’s amazing. I I follow you on Facebook. I frequently tag friends and share your posts. And I watch the videos you post!
Thank you!
First, Congratulations on 12 years! I ‘ll try to be here for the next 12, but now I MUST make a comment, sorry, but today’s posting was just not up my alley, I bought a calendar & was a little disappointed in it, the pictures were great, but even a free calendar from my bank has info printed on most days, such as moon phases, holidays ,ect. yours are blank- maybe not important to others, just my opinion, I’ll see ya all later, Paul
Paul, well, hey, it’s pretty hard to bat 1,000. Sorry you didn’t like my calendar as well. There are photos on the major holidays and you’re correct, there’s nothing else labeled. First of all, moon phases aren’t an option through my printer, and I do delete some other holidays and not fill them with small photos. I’ve been praised for having such a wide open calendar that people can write on, and since that’s what I use it for myself, it’s the style I prefer. Again, sorry you’re disappointed but I can’t have it both ways. Thanks for being such a great reader and commenter!
THANK YOU CAROL. It has been a whole lot of work on your part and all pleasure for us. I’m blessed to have met you (and have my sweet Lark). God bless you and yours now and forever.
You’re such a sweetheart, Ginger! Thanks for all your support and comments! God bless you!
I follow you daily & enjoy our time together, especially enjoy your crossword puzzles. I have tagged a friend, via FB, who also enjoys anything Wyoming.
Have a great day, from Wisconsin!
Perfect! Thanks so much to you in Wisconsin!
