Times Three

Posted on March 27, 2020March 27, 2020

Walking back from the chicken coop one evening, I noticed a sink hole! Holy buckets! How long had THAT been there?

Two huge plastic culverts have been wintering near a power pole and water hydrant. The culverts may have prevented me from seeing the sink hole earlier, but I’m pretty sure, I noticed it fairly fast.

Then there’s that hydrant by my yard. You can’t shut it off at all… and we’d run a hose to take that leaking water away.

The hydrant by the shop? Well, it’s not the easiest to turn on. The handle pulled HARD.

So, today, after the cow work was done, three new hydrants went in around this place.

We’re so thankful for the little excavator, since digging down six feet with a shovel is a CHORE.

We’re all set.

Times three!

There is always some new facet to ranching work that I’d never have imagined!

Muddy job made easier and quicker. Nice to have hydrants that work.

I hate it when water goes some where it’s not supposed to be, like in my basement after a heavy rain! I operated a backhoe for many years working on natural gas lines, but never in red dirt! Looks like Spring time at your place-
