Homestead Views

Posted on May 26, 2020May 26, 2020

We’ve leased some new country and got a grand tour of it. What we thought might take a couple of hours took five. You’ll be seeing more of it as time goes by. You’ve already had a glimpse of my new favorite picnic spot there by the creek.

The homestead cabin has plenty of treasures as well. Enjoy!

I’m trying to figure out whose place this is. Hmmm….

An old wringer washer! Takes me back to my childhood and my great aunt’s house.
    What a treasure trove.
    Thanks.

I really like the last photo of the log building, very simple and uncluttered. What is the vine on the other end of the log building and around what I assume is a irrigation head gate?

I thought maybe it was an old grape vine, but there are no leaves to help me ID it. The head gate has a willow in it.

Incredible. Lost in time. What a special place. A museum of sorts.

I love this place! The water tank is your very own “Leaning Tower of Pizza”- When I put my glasses on I could see the irrigation gate wheel in the bush-

Beautiful pictures! Wouldn’t it be great to know about who built this? When? Where they came from? Their daily life? Thanks for sharing your work.
