Forecast

Posted on September 5, 2020September 5, 2020

While it was in the high 90’s today… Tuesday’s high is forecasted to be only 40. Yes, you read that right.

So, even though the plan is to cover my garden, it still may not make it. Today, I put the grandkids to work, picking corn, shucking, and picking the silk while I sliced the corn off the cob and froze it. Megan took photos for me, but she went camping this weekend.

I still have more tomatoes to pick.

Megan and I processed my meat birds the other day.

I did *not* take photos of that day.

Even though our first taste of winter is coming, it isn’t supposed to last long. I’ll be very sad to see the end of my garden… but it is also supposed to rain.

Rain that Wyoming needs badly. Three fires started around the state today that I’ve heard of. I’ll sacrifice the end of my garden if it guarantees rain.

Many hands make light work ~ and you are lucky to have that. Your garden produce looks wonderful. We also need rain so I’m glad you are having some as you put the garden to bed. I just have tomatoes and carrots left, and one huge pot of potatoes. This year I grew a lot of wax beans and they did great. Oh, if Sandy only had thumbs, she could help!! hahahaha She is a typical English shadow and willing canine worker. Have a great day!

We need rain here in California to put the fires out! Record heat yesterday — in the hundreds in places that don’t usually get that hot. My poor dog kept looking for a cool spot. We had the door open, but that just let more heat in. I;d also like better air.

Rain will be so good for your garden, even if it is coming to an end. Your produce looks great. Keep warm when that winter chill comes through. Cooler here in Middle England. Need the lights on by 8:30p. Kids back in school, but a very different school from when they were last there in Mid March.

We also need rain badly. No rain in sight for us. So happy you are getting rain. Send us some.
