Re-Red: September 13 – September 19, 2020

Posted on September 27, 2020September 27, 2020

This was a busy week!

We gathered the heifers from one pasture and took them to another so we could preg test them. While waiting for the veterinarian to arrive, Tess and I went hunting arrowheads. I’ve looked here multiple times and have had a tiny bit of success, but that day we found three! Too soon we had to go back to work, setting up the vet’s chute and pregnancy testing. We then had to take them back to their pasture. I tried to share how smoky we were from the wildfires out west, including commentary from Quinlan and Lorelei while waiting for the school bus. Next, I let Lacee and Reagan talk about our two false starts taking food up the mountain for our big preg test day for the cows. We saw some mule deer bucks on the way up, and eventually made it to the corral, where we went to work! Jaxon was doing paperwork, and the guys doctored a cow’s pink eye. My camera’s poopy ‘christening’ is shown in all its glory… and I let the Good Doctor explain what he was doing. Brandon checks old cows to see how many teeth they have left. Fun conversation helps the day go faster… Lacee and Reagan play “moving cows in the corral”. We see more wildfire smoke and prairie chickens on the way down the mountain. Tess, Reagan, and I are handling the weaned calves that blew out of their corral… and we finally end the week with Quinlan’s birthday party.

Whew.

This was the best yet! Really a busy week; probably not more than usual but it seemed like it. Your vet should go on TV, except, what would you do without him? And the grandkids are precious. they work hard and pay attention.

Glad you liked it! The Good Doctor is starting to retire and we don’t know what to do!

This was excellent! It had so much variety to enjoy, and I really did. Thank you for all the time it took to film and edit it. As always, I loved the virtual ride on Panama, seeing the doggies work, and watching all the beautiful scenery you featured. And the kiddos are right there “helping” in their own special way. I think your vet and TV’s Dr. Pol are both very happy people. Have a great day.
