This week’s ranch life video, from September 20 -26, 2020, is a fairly quiet week. I attended a program about the unsolved murders on Red Bank Ranch in 1911, Craig Johnson’s new book debuted with a mention of Ten Sleep, the brewery, its creator, and a local musician. My chicks are grown although still not laying… meadowlarks are singing goodbyes, the goldfish have also grown and the dogs and I took plenty of walks.

Nice, nice, video…can’t wait to read that new book…LOVED the Longmire series!
And thank you for Garth Brooks!
Loved this Re-Red. Wanted to hear more about the unsolved murder. When did it happen? Fingerprints on the guns? Suspects? She was shot and then either put on her robe or someone did it for her. Is there a book?
Meadowlarks sound so neat — such a free spirited song. On the other hand, chickens are such funny birds. They look like a comedy act, but they are nice looking (ie beautiful).
This is my favorite feature on your blog.
I should have linked to this article but I forgot. Very many theories on what happened… https://www.wyohistory.org/encyclopedia/still-unsolved-1911-deaths-edna-richards-jenkins-and-thomas-jenkins
The chickens were the stars of this weeks Re-Red!
I sure like your chickens, we just raised white ones, except the colorful banty, or bantam, chickens, that had the run of the farm yard, usually stayed close to the barn, and liked to roost right over where we milked, sometimes got a surprise dropped on us, and I don’t mean an egg, Too bad there were no videos of those days, but I can still see’em in my mind!!
