Tess’ birthday is this week. Last week, we had a chance to go out to eat as part of her celebration. I’ve wanted to go here for months, as I follow the Renaissance Cafe on Facebook. It is in Greybull, Wyoming, so it was going to be an outing! What an outing it was, too!

The Renaissance Cafe doesn’t have a standard menu. The menu for the week is posted… online and on the board.

But, I’m getting ahead of myself! First… tea. An amazing array of tea… choose your flavor… then revel in tasting some hot deliciousness in beautiful cups!

My choice? The Brontë Sisters tea.

Then, salad. Oh, my. If you don’t go for anything else… go for the salad! Finally, a salad for a VERY reasonable price with everything in it! Seventeen jillion times better than any other restaurant salad I’ve ever had in Wyoming!

Then…

Jalapeño corn cakes with dill tartar sauce. I didn’t know what to expect, but it was delicious. And then…

Well, it was German Chocolate cake, before we all devoured it.
The fun was just beginning, the rest of the shop is an antique store! I can share that part tomorrow. This is an unsolicited review… but I’d encourage you, if you’re around Greybull, Tuesday through Saturday at lunchtime, enjoy the Renaissance Cafe. We sure did!

What a great Happy Birthday for Tess. Tea tastings are always lots of fun, and the whold place looks fascinating.
Looks like there is quite an array of tea cups and tea pots – eclectic fun!
Food looks delicious. So glad you had a nice time together for Tess’s Birthday. I loved seeing for the first time, a unique tea strainer!
What a wonderful day out for you all. Love all those China cups. A cuppa (as us Brits say) is ALWAYS better in a china cup. Now I need to check my map and find where Greybull is.
Wonderful
How fun. Happy Birthday Tess.
