This week I chose to just share the past two days of calving; yesterday, nice and blue skies, today, a snowstorm rolled in. I also chose not to put music with this video. One thing I love about calving, is the quiet and calmness. The soft “mehs” of the heifers… the little newborn voices in reply. The loudest things are the banging of the gates and a little girl’s laughter.
The new calving sheds look great. A good shelter from that snow storm. It certainly was a quiet and calm video.
I have the same question as Libby. Does that tell who the mommy is or the birth date?
What does the band on the calves ankle represent?
