Fire Bug

Posted on March 22, 2021March 22, 2021

After finishing some new earrings and packaging some for shipment, I decided the afternoon needed to be spent outside. While it wasn’t a brilliant sunny day, it was warm-ish, overcast, and no breeze. I tagged along after Vernon.

If a cow happened to be in my path, calving, hey, it’d be a win for you as well. Sorry to say, you lost this round, but I can try again!

Instead I watched over some burning. Somewhere along the way, a roof had blown off an old shed in an old corral… Wyoming *is* known for her wind. It was a mess of broken wood, wire, and tin. With the ground still wet from the snowstorm, this would be a great time to rid us of the eyesore and the danger it presented to cattle and horses.

Fire bug that I am, I was more than happy to keep an eye on the flames, wandering around and adding small pieces to the pile. I may smell like smoke, but, honestly, I don’t care!

Nice for the ground to be wet so the fire can’t spread, even with wind.
Won’t the tin and especially the wire still be a hazard?

…smoke smell is always better than skunk smell! hahahahah
We can’t have any fires outdoors except from a fire buddy here in suburbia. Miss that. Have a nice day.
