Last year, a friend passed along a cute little old stool… wooden top, metal legs… beat up, scarred, bent just a little out of shape. I saw something though… and piled it on top of my “to-do” craft pile.
The burn marks, the scratches, the old metal… I sanded the top lightly, leaving the major scars… and gave the old metal a bit of black spray paint.
I decided to go a slightly different route than usual… trying to recreate some type of “winter count” scene. Today Quinlan called it a shield, which I guess would almost work, too!
It needs a couple of coats of polyurethane, and then, with its slightly crooked leg… it may begin a new life. I like it!

Wonderful restoration.
That is beautiful work.
Gorgeous! I love that! Very nicely done.
I like it too!!
Very nice Carol. Do not heat the leg to straighten, once it bent it weakened that metal but heating will weaken it more.
Good job. You are so talented
That is really beautiful!
Wonderful. Can you heat the leg and straighten it? Although I like it just the way it is.
You are amazing.
