A few weeks ago, when one of our last storms blew through… it literally blew through my studio. It blew one of my old windows out.
I went inside, expecting to find glass shattered everywhere. Luckily, the pane of glass landed just right on the couch below and was still in one piece. What are the odds? I had always wanted to add some colored glass on this little old window… so, today, I was waiting on my broody hen to hatch her eggs… and I took the time to complete the window.
I always call this Sundog Studio, so I tried to create a sundog… and a landscape underneath it. Not the best…
Installed it looks like this. I need blue glass to fill in the spaces with, but it’s not that big of an deal. I thought of using glass beads, but I didn’t like the looks after I tried incorporating them.
I don’t care. It’s decorated and in its frame and caulked… and it won’t blow out again!
P.S. The eggs didn’t hatch today… maybe tomorrow!

Gorgeous eye catching colors! I’d love to see the colors it throws in the sunlight.
You never cease to amaze me. This is gorgeous, That’s why the window didn’t shatter — it knew ti could be something beautiful.
What an amazing window. It looks just great. Do you get reflective patterns on your studio walls if the sun shines through?
Vibrant!
What an inspired idea! I love it, and the colors are beautiful.
I love it! My mom used to do stain glass. I love the play of light through the glass.
