TIRED

Posted on May 14, 2021May 14, 2021

Lordy, Lordy. Finally sat down at 10:15. I’m pooped!

We are planning on branding our last small bunch on Saturday, though the chance of us getting rained out looks high. We will decide in the morning! It doesn’t matter for the cooks… we have to be prepared to feed our crew.

I cooked the roasts and froze them a couple of weeks ago, so I only had to make potato salad, cut up the grapes into small sections… and, horror of horrors, it was my turn to make monster cookies. Everyone loves monster cookies, but they take FOREVER to bake.

No flour. Oatmeal, chocolate chips, M&Ms, etc. We always make a double batch… it wouldn’t have been such a big deal, but, of course we had to gather the pasture today.

We made it home around 3 for our lunch break.

My eyes are slamming shut and I’m too tired to think, so I’m ending this here.

The picture of the monster cookies made me hungry and tickled my sweet tooth. I’d love to know how to make them (hint, hint).

Well done on all that hard work. You deserve a cuppa and a monster cookie.

I love it when I’m invited along and can watch Panamas radar ears scanning the area for wild and domesticated game, for his riders cues,or merely for keeping track of which way is shortest route
    back home
One can almost hear the saddle squeak and daydream the thoughts that seem to become so much clearer on horseback
Especially after one learns to read the ears.
