I couldn’t resist and bought some Mallard ducklings. I’ve always enjoyed having the little guys around for summer. So far it’s too cold to keep them outside, so they’re living in my mud room… in a box, of course!

Tess competed in another half marathon, this time in Billings. She came in fourth in her age division, so… GREAT JOB!

I recently won this magnificent cutting board from a YouTube channel I follow called Suburban Homesteader WY-AZ. The cutting board is originally made by Jason at Homesteading Northern Michigan. I was thrilled to win it, and I’m very glad it made its way to my kitchen from Michigan! You might like to check out their channels on YouTube.

It was overcast and not quite rainy today with a miserable wind that is still blowing. Vernon actually took some time off… while we usually take the side by side out for a spin if we get the chance, it wasn’t going to be enjoyable! We kept an eye on the weather app, hoping to see some actual rain headed our way, instead I saw this. The high winds on top of the Big Horn Mountains were blowing so hard and it was probably raining up there, or snowing, and it was so bad, it just made the top glow blue with the wind trails.
Congratulations to Tess! I’m impressed by anyone who finishes a marathon, but 4th in your age division — WOW!
What does Bravo think of the ducklings? So cute.
You go Tess! Congrats! How y’all have the energy to do these amazing things besides running your ranch and caring for family is inspiring!
I will be getting my Indian Runner ducks this week. Love them. We have had little or no rain.
