Oh, these days of riding… both glorious and frustrating, with awe inspiring views and sore saddles! Yesterday was at least 10 hours in the saddle, if not more… and the silence riding back to the horse trailer was indicative of just how tired, frustrated, and sore we all were. Usually, we can be counted on for some wry humor, but it took us a while to reach that point!
I haven’t been that sore in a long while. But, like I posted yesterday… it might have not been one of our favorite days, but it sure was in a great location.
The Sorting Grounds in this pasture has one of my favorite views.
We are moving cattle from this pasture to new feed, from this shared pasture to private ones. We started a bit earlier than usual simply because they’re predicting highs in the 90’s soon. Let me tell you, if it had been 90 degrees yesterday, we would have just been… … … … … more exhausted.
Of course, we just got up and did it again today… this time was only five hours in the saddle… with more cooperative cattle. A much more pleasant experience!

All great photos, but the colours in #4 are my favourite.
