I took my holiday early when a friend and I buzzed over to Buffalo for a day of antique shopping, browsing, and general enjoyment. It’s been a while when I just went somewhere for pure fun. Buffalo, as usual, didn’t disappoint.
The new Amish store, Yoder’s, was a delight. Luckily I did have a “cash stash” along, because, duh… no credit cards are accepted there. Definitely worth the trip…
I was bummed the large antique store no longer exists… but we found enough to keep us busy. Second hand clothing, thrift stores, gift shops, and a delightful sandwich from Sagewood Cafe.
While we’d heard frustrated people complain about the long waits in the construction on the highway, we managed to hit them just right, never having to wait more than five minutes. Turn off the car, listen to the wind whisper secrets to the pines, and relax.
From the darkening clouds we expected some rain (yay!) and saw this…
We’d missed the hail by just a few minutes!
While it wasn’t too deep, there was enough to impress us!
All in all, a wonderful pre-holiday get away!

Glad you had a great day out and missed hold ups in the construction and the hail. Looks good in photo.
Good for y’all! Happy 4th everyone! Thanks as always Carol!!
What a fun get-away! There are quite a few Amish people around here…known for their woodworking, quilts, and organic foods. Hope you splurged a little on your adventure.
Fun! Thanks for sharing.
