The After

Posted on July 10, 2021July 10, 2021

We all moved a little slow this morning… Johnny’s big party took a lot out of us! The kids went 9-0 all night long, running and jumping on our “hay bale maze” we’d set up, then dancing to the music, and running some more. I was pretty tired, too.

Slowly, the shop regained its utilitarian look, the shade tents came down, tables folded, dirty dishes washed (for the most part), lawn chairs/coolers/supplies put away (for the most part). We delayed our cattle moving plans, thank goodness, I don’t believe any of us would have lasted long!

We took my sister-in-law up the mountain… it was cooler up there! We managed to see wildflowers, elk, butterflies, and great scenery… a relaxing afternoon to make up for the past few days.

Sounds like a spectacular celebration with a lot of special planning so everyone could have fun and terrific memories! Then a relaxing jaunt to higher ground to enjoy the beauties of nature. BTW those butterflies
    are VERY striking.
