I should have done so many things today… but I didn’t.
It was grey, overcast, windy, and snowy at times and the temperature plummeted rapidly. It’s been unusually warm and mild, and we need the snow and the moisture it brings. It is December…
Unfortunately, it didn’t bring much snow, but it still made you want to huddle under some blankets and catch the new season of Lost In Space!
Tomorrow, with our Library Open House/Silent Auction/Craig Johnson reading, I imagine I will running around INSANELY, but today was about as laid back as you can get!
As a result… I’ll just share a family photo from last week. We were working the heifers… and gathered for a quick pic. It’s definitely us… in work jeans, boots, and the ever present baseball hats…
Johnny wasn’t there, but daughter Victoria made the pic. It’s taken so you can see some cattle… I guess to prove that WE ARE RANCHERS. For all the more “formal” ones we’ve had taken (meaning we are in nice clothes), I like this one the best.
Yup. It’s just us.
(And the fact there is hay on the ground and not poop to stand in, makes this a much better photo!)
(Is this the one we send to potential sponsors like Silencer Chutes, Wrangler jeans, Carhartt, Arrowquip, or some other ag product manufacturers??????)

Wonderful photo of your family.
Great group portrait of real people dressed to do the work that they do. You all are salt of the earth. I hope that you get some snow in the next week from the storms that are now FINALLY beginning to travel through central California and head on east. Season’s greetings: I love your informative and imaginative blog.
Thank you so much!
Definitely send it to all of them to show how well their products work.
