Work

Posted on December 14, 2021December 14, 2021

We gathered the calves today. The girls will be headed to a feedlot outside of Worland to laze around and eat… they’ll be there all winter, basically just growing up. The boys will stay around, at least for now.

Since they are all together, we gathered them up, trailed them home, sorted, then loaded them on to trucks for their short ride. Originally, the trucks weren’t supposed to come until tomorrow, but since there’s a storm coming, the truckers were happy to come this afternoon instead.

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
