I had to run up to Cody today… where I spied the following…
Six clear plexiglass geodesic domes sit on the lawn next to the Visitor’s Center. Today was very warm, 59 degrees, but, being Cody, there was also a brisk wind blowing. These, I supposed would provide a wind proof place to enjoy the sunshine.
Each were to have their own furniture. Seating and tables had yet to be placed in two domes.
The only visible frame was around the zippered plastic door. Each hexagon was held to the others with tiny nuts and bolts. There must have been an unseen frame around the base, but it was covered by the special flooring.
Two windows provided cross ventilation and the door could be rolled up as well. We needed to open them after a few minutes! It wasn’t humid nor stuffy in there and the reprieve from the wind was sweet! I imagine, with the kind of winds Cody can get, that these must be sturdy structures.
I could see them as great greenhouses. Just for kicks and giggles, I’m on the hunt for who makes them and what the price might be. I also want one to magically appear over my hot tub so when the wind is howling it could create a calm place to enjoy a soak but I could still watch the stars.
Cool idea, Cody, I like them!

Wow! What a great idea for the hot tub!!! Good luck on finding the source and an affordable price.
$4100.
Very cool. I’d be interested in hearing whatever you learn about these domes.
