The Ten Sleep Library will be hosting a ”Spot of Tea” and Silent Auction tomorrow, with special guest, author Tasha Alexander.
Tasha Alexander is the author of the Lady Emily mystery series. Set in Victorian England of the 1890-1900’s, Tasha’s books also roam across the area, from Paris to Greece, Germany to Africa. My favorite book takes place in Pompeii. Lady Emily is strong, intelligent, and it’s interesting to see the character grow and change throughout the books. Tasha lives in southern Wyoming and we’re grateful she drove up here just in time for our latest blizzard!
Our silent auction is composed of many items mainly from the estate of Kay Morrison. Known to her Ten Sleep students affectionately as ”Miss Mo”, she was our Home Ec teacher for many years. She donated many a beautiful quilt to our Harvest Dinner and Christmas Silent Auction. We have many fond memories of her little cafes she had her students run, the candy for the holidays, the excellent meals served along with the school plays. We appreciate the other donations as well.
The Renaissance Cafe from Greybull is catering the event. Linda’s little cafe and antique store is only open three days a week. Tea is a mainstay, and literary names abound. I think I had The Bronte Sisters tea when I was there. Chicken salad on croissant with side salad and choice of four desserts is on the menu.
It’s going to be a good time!

Sounds like a super event…very special. Good luck with the auction!
I’m sure everyone will have a lovely time.
Tasha Alexander sounds like my kind of author. I’ll look her up and see if I can find any of her books.
Tea is always fun. Not only is it my beverage of choice, but the accompanying food is delicious and fun.
