It’s been so long… we don’t know how to act.
Over an inch of rain since yesterday… and almost 2.5” for the month!
It is a royal, muddy mess outside and everyone is loving it. There’s water running in the draws and puddling in the low spots. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice then more rain Sunday and then again Wednesday. We don’t know how to act. Drought monitors have turned around. Oh, they won’t say we’re good, but, my heavens, what a blessing this has been.
True, some calves may get sick, but there will be grass to eat for a while! It’s made us reminisce about when this used to happen back in the day. Inside chores will get worked on… and outdoor ones are put on hold. There’s fresh snow on the mountain as well, so grass should grow up there!
Everyone is doing a happy dance!

This is great news for you all. Many parts of the UK have had another mainly dry April. Today a gentle shower. Nice for the garden, but I had to remember where the auto wiper switch was on the car as it’s ages since I drove in rain.
Really happy for you. Rain and grass for the cattle later with (hopefully) wildfire danger down as well.
Rain/snow, for your part of the country! A true blessing!
