My plans were shifted around this morning, as clouds moved in, the wind blew, and a small rainshower hung around. Later, though, the sun tried to shine between the clouds… and Brandon and family decided to get the irrigating water ready for the fields. It also means that I have water for my lawn, so that is a good thing!
While we have one pivot, and flood irrigation, this area uses hand line. Joints of pipe are linked together with a rainbird sprinkler on one end. The kids are put to work.
They’ve done this before and are practically old hands… they just needed a quick refresher course.
“Push down and turn it to the left…”
Does the family that irrigates together, stay together? Most likely…

Lovely views. Green grass and blue skies. GKs look very focussed on the the task in hand.
Looking good…looking green!
