Good Job, Team

Posted on June 25, 2022June 25, 2022

A cool morning and cloud cover made for an easy start as we trailed 100 pair to the Slope Pasture. Five adults and four kids left the barn and we opened the gate to the corral where the cows we’d gathered yesterday had spent the night. And we’re off!

The clouds gave a blue tint to my world and as I crossed below the red cliffs, I thought that maybe a bit of sunlight would help my photos.

Milo looks very much a blue roan in this pic, but a few minutes later…

Sunshine changes the entire feeling…definitely better.

We kept after it… the cows thought they should stop in the Mesa Pasture, their usual haunt, but we turned them and kept going a few more miles. Some small person showed up and got a bit of a ride with Daddy.

Everyone worked hard or tried hard… and it was wonderful that Megan brought us lunch. Good job, team!

Everything great, except for the dust. (I feel like the Grinch for that remark.)
    Beautiful photos as usual.

Wow all your pics just take us there! Thanks Carol!
How is Milo doing when the camera snaps a picture? I noticed his ears back a little…

Sounds like a perfect day of good weather, family togetherness, and
the littlest Greet adding her voice to encourage those cows!

Wonderful photos of your work day. So much better than lanes of fast moving traffic.
