Our ”Ussie”

Posted on July 2, 2022July 2, 2022

Two days of riding and moving and bleeding and gathering and shipping and trailing… and today we ALL rode, even little Reagan. We trailed our yearling heifers a few miles downhill… and she rode like a champ.

When we were finished, she hitched a ride back with her grandpa in the side by side as thunderstorms were threatening. The rest of us had no choice. We decided it was a good opportunity to take an ussie… more than a selfie… because we all had to fit!

Not a good start… Tess and Megan are experts… the rest of us, not so much!

Ok, two more in… the boys had no problem hamming it up in the background.

Nope.

Still nope.

Good grief!

It’d help if my phone screen wasn’t so scratched up!

Well, finally. I look strange, but we’re all in! Daniel and Brandon are in it as well… they’re way back behind us… you can see them between Megan and Tess!

Our ”ussie” is pretty good… someday we’ll be able to handle all our horses and it won’t take us as long!… Maybe!

You can never look strange in a “Longmire” cap!
Congrats to little Regan — she’s really a big girl now.
The stages of the ussie were worth the price of admission, or maybe more.

Oh I had to smile at your persistence to get everyone in the photo. Selfies or aussies take a while to take successfully. You were good to be actually looking at the camera. I’m always looking down trying to find the button. A great family photo.

You need a “panorama” setting for this growing family! Great photo!

I love it! Persistence paid off. And the pink saddle seat and blanket for little Reagan also gave me a smile!
