Early morning on the mountain on my long legged horse…
Saddling at 5:30 was the plan, but saddling 8 kids’ horses is rather a chore and then tossing on our five saddles… the guys still ended up driving up the mountain with the sunrise glaring in their eyes.
Not often do we have all the cousins riding together… and I suppose we should have gathered them up for a big group photo (even though I couldn’t post it). Plus the day was cool and gorgeous and an easy enough ride in most parts of the pasture. I did take the outside loop with Daniel which had us going to the high hills around the perimeter.
This is Wyoming and mountains, so you’d better be prepared for some uppy downy kind of riding!
Lately when we ride, I’ve been taking selfies with the grandkids and posting them as my Facebook profile photo. Today, it was Reagan’s turn… who knew how difficult it was to get the right angle when she is on such a small pony?!
We should get an award for hauling all those horses PLUS THREE BULLS back down the mountain! Plus all the people! And four dogs. And lunch coolers. And 8 kids jackets and 8 water bottles! Could we get a pickup, tire, or trailer sponsorship, please?
Find me here!
You certainly should have an award for that early start and hard work. Lovely photo of you and Reagan.
