They held a photography show at the Arapaho Ranch mansion today. Four of my high/low key portraits were chosen. After going on display around the Big Horn Basin, they will find home at the Wyoming State Museum.

Built in the Italian villa style in 1918, the mansion was a beautiful setting. Rough around some of her edges, she is slated for building improvements in the future.

The front sunroom was my favorite with its three sets of French doors leading to the rest of the house. I could easily be sidetracked into some architectural love but the point was all the photographers and their take on ”community” in the Big Horn Basin.

QR codes led you to an audio recording of each artist explaining their work, subjects, and style. Barrie Lynn Bryant spearheaded this entire show, leading in classes, printing on high quality Hahnemuhle paper, and building the Molesworth inspired frames. A gigantic challenge that Barrie met incredibly well.

I never knew my quick little portraits could ever look so good!
