I have to share one of my Christmas presents with you.
I asked for this item… a kindling splitter!
Oh, sure, you can use a hatchet or axe to split your pieces down into kindling… but my aim has never been good with those, so I turned to this reverse operation.
Place your log on the sharp blade, give it a whack with a heavy hammer or another log and boom!
There’s your kindling!

I plan on mounting it on a big stump so it’s higher and buying a sledgehammer to use with it. Of course, it’d be helpful if I had a bunch of firewood to split further, but I can work on that, too.
