It seems hard to believe, but Lacee and Lorelei are old enough to be on a recreation district basketball team. They have both been excited, as they have watched their older brothers play and were anxious to give it a shot. So to speak. Lorelei has even been dreaming about basketball!
Their first game was Monday. Oh, my. You try not to giggle, but… oh. My. Third graders in their first game. It’s very difficult to remember sooooo many things. Then the fans were flustered because rec ball has different rules than regular basketball. Its place is to teach the basics, and that found the high school aged referee stopping to give instructions as well as the coaches walking on the court and helping straighten out confusion.

There were good moments and points scored and good positioning and even some boxing out (which seems difficult for older kids to figure out) and lots of fun.

They had to write this one down as a loss. Honestly, I probably couldn’t have done any better, sports was never my activity of choice! They ended up with smiles and I’m grateful for that!

Today’s children are very active. They can also play basketball. Can participate in various basketball Sports
It’s heartwarming to witness these delightful moments. It’s truly refreshing to see children
engrossed in sports, choosing active engagement over the passive allure of mobile phones.
Some lovely moments. Glad to see these children are interested in sports rather than wasting time on mobile phones.

Sounds like a lot of fun even with new rules. I hope the hoop was lowered
a little bit for the girls’ height. We wanna score!
Great learning experience and exercise for them. Hard not to laugh too much though.
Lovely to see the girls enjoying a sports activity. I’m like you, not a fan of sports activities but happy to watch others.
A joy seeing your grandchildren through your lens.
Lucky you lucky them!
