Calving in a Blizzard Video

Posted on April 4, 2023

I managed to throw together a video for today’s blizzard. We were lucky and haven’t received near the record amounts of snow across the state. We’re counting our blessings!

I am amazed that the cows don’t move and that they calfs walk up to Vernon. It probably makes a difference on the breed of cattle. Holstine’s would have charged you. I would go out with Dad and help out. It’s mind blowing how cows can react. Thanks for the video.

“Ever-vigilant Vernon”! This was a very special video. Thanks for taking us through this step-by-step in the snow.

Thanks for that video! It’s amazing how calm the cows are with y’all driving around and thru them. They know Vernon! Some of the calves coming over to him . Again it shows how hard it is to be a rancher! You take such great care of your animals!
