Today was a big day of branding another bunch of calves and trailing the pairs out to the badlands. But first… there’s always a first step… we had to trail them to the branding pen we’d set up, about two miles. Since it was Sunday, all the kids could go along. I chose the sxs to ride in which worked out since Brandon needed to let his horse recover from a cut and he borrowed my Milo horse. Being in the side by side while we had plenty of help let me be a bit more photographic!

I love these kind of pictures. Really shows off the scenery plus the cattle, dogs, and horses. Are the grandchildren still on ponies or are they on regular horses now?
These pictures look especially cleat and dimensional. New camera?? The magic of the side by side? Less dust?
Great photos. I especially like the expansive shot of the Big Horn Mt’s with all that snow!
Wonderful photo log.
Such great pictures! What beautiful country! Horses, dogs, family, cows! Can’t get much better…Thanks for sharing
