#TBT: Own Tale, v.2.0

Posted on May 11, 2023

This was first posted May 15, 2012. Just as a reminder how things don’t always go smoothly…

Well, no photos of the food I cooked, lawn I watered, laundry I washed, diapers I changed, or chickens I fed.

Thank goodness for small favors!

Needless to say, this day has been hectic.

The crew didn’t have a much better day… our cows wandered out of their range… and didn’t want to go back… much less onward where we’ll brand tomorrow!

Adults are tired…

Kids are tired…

Horses and dogs and I…

are tired…

It’s time for bed, so I can get up early and finish the cooking I failed to accomplish today.

But TOMORROW.

TOMORROW IS BRANDING.

We’re hoping for cooler weather (or cloud cover), no wrecks, great workers, and good food.

Tomorrow will tell its own tale!

As my mom used to say, “No rest for the weary!”
I enjoy these “Blasts from the Past” almost or as much as the current ones.

This time I got the following from Go Daddy.
    Error details:
    Error Code: HTTP 502
Error Code: Backend or gateway read timeout.
    Server ID: 11018
    What is going on:
    Origin server might be down
GoDaddy network blocked by origin firewall

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
