I hauled most of my craft items to the Ten Sleep Brewery this morning. I sold a few things…

Then a friend and I decided to blow over the mountain to Buffalo and check out their greenhouse and buy some flowers for the library…

Mission accomplished.
Our idea to eat or shop a bit more in downtown Buffalo was drowned out, plus it was 5 pm and stores were closing. I haven’t seen it rain like that in YEARS.

The radar looked like the worst was yet to come, so we abandoned the town of Buffalo and headed west. We crossed the Big Horns and were met by lightning, rain, hail, snow, wind, more hail, and were behind a snowplow who was cleaning up hail and mud, leaves, and pine needles off the road.

What’s an easy sign to see if it’s been raining hard upcountry? Ten Sleep Creek turns into tomato soup!

While I was happy to see it had rained on this side of the mountain, too, the highway turned dry four miles from home. Vernon confirmed all we had was high winds and no rain. The storms missed us once again. Well, hopefully we’ll catch another storm soon, we need some rain.
