Once again I babysat, giving Victoria another chance at riding before she leaves tomorrow. Today was full of random rain showers and the cowboys did get wet. After they had returned home and gathered up children, the rain really let loose, and we’re putting the final gather on hold, as riding through slick mud and more rain didn’t have anyone begging to continue. A break will be appreciated.
Random dog photos from the other day…
Shade is a valuable commodity. I think Roper was completely underneath, grabbing the darkest shade while Bravo and Indy circled the outside.
Before the four wheeler had showed up, this is what they had to make do with. Indy appeared to be done all in, but on the way home, she’d bump Bravo in the side, begging for some play… but he truly was tired.
I have to say there was plenty of water everywhere for them to drink this year and Miss Priss even enjoyed some mud! She’ll avoid it at home if she can but perspectives change when you’re a working dog.
There was a bit of a breeze on the sorting grounds… Bravo doesn’t usually have that wonky ear. The pairs are scattered up through the trees in the background meaning work really is over. Good dogs.

Hi Carol,
Such beautiful dogs – I left a comment/ question last week regarding your current and future plans to breed your pups – would love to know. Thanks in advance!
Such heartwarming snapshots! Your tales of the cowboys and their furry companions amidst rain showers and playful moments paint a vivid picture of ranch life. The dogs seeking shade and finding joy even in the mud reflect their resilient spirits. It’s lovely to glimpse into these daily moments, showcasing the bond between animals and their caretakers.
They seem to have bonded nicely.
Indy appears to be posing! Good dogs!!!
The way Indy smiles for the camera is just the best!
Good dogs! And they seem to be buddies. They deserve a cool rest after all the miles they travel. Give ’em a pet for me!
