Milo, Bravo, Indy, Quinlan, and I scan the trees below. Riding through all that juniper and aspen are Daniel and Jaxon. The occasional, “whoop, hey!” comes across and we peer through the trees. Yup, Daniel’s just kicked two pair down to Jaxon and he’ll move them along until we pick them up and scoot them farther along.
We repeat the scenario four or five times… Daniel digging them up from the dark shade, passing them to Jaxon, who follows them until we gather them at the edge of the trees… We yell them onward, hoping none hide behind us.
Out in the open, Quinlan follows the last through the sagebrush and Jaxon keeps an eye on the bull. I’m stationed below, a barrier to confrontation with the other bull Brandon is following, and a deterrent to any cow or calf willing to break and run downhill.
The next pasture is just a couple of miles away, but the pairing takes its own sweet time… as always. A good morning’s work.

Like Susan those amazing views always give me time to pause and enjoy.
It looks like there are a lot of hiding places in this part of your land. I’m sure having the dogs is a big help.
So beautiful never tire of those scenic views…
