In between the rain storms the guys continue to work on projects… so strange to be a week into August and throw a light blanket on at night or sweatshirts during the day! The cool weather is supposed to stop tomorrow and the guys are anxious to get going on the second cutting of hay.
Saturday the Ten Sleep Library hosted a tie dye for adults class… why should kids have all the fun? We did have fun but since there were only six of us, we did end up with leftover dye. Well, we are also hosting the Ten Sleep School teachers and staff for lunch on Friday and I’m doing a scavenger hunt with the library databases. Since they’ve had this training before, I decided to mix it up! What are the prizes? Tie dyed bandanas I made with the leftover dye, of course! And maybe some chocolate!
I have to admit, I had some fairly successful patterns.
Shibori (Japanese) style
Double spiral. The blue dots were a boo boo.
Another double spiral.
Diamond pattern.
Kaleidoscope.
Geode, though my white lines aren’t white!
Winding trail.
I can’t remember this pattern’s name, but I like it!
This one is galaxy and I may have to keep this one! I made a few more, but those are the striking ones! Washed and ironed, they make for pretty nice scavenger hunt prizes!

Fascinating to try to figure out where the ties were and how you did it. From one who knows next to nothing about tie dying. The finished product is stunning. Great prizes.
Still getting the following error message,

So beautiful, especially the “Starry Night.” What kind of material did you use?
Amazing colours and patterns.
These are off the charts in being fabulous! I sure wish I knew how to do this craft. They certainly DO make terrific prizes! Next project? maybe a tie-died accent pillow.
