We’ve been interested in small shed/cabins for a while, driving here and there on rainy days to check them out. Our neighbors on the mountain are logging a patch of trees and the logging trucks drive through a corner of our pasture. We found out the logger has built a few little cabins over the winter in his shop.
They’re cute little things and about as solid as they come. But aside from that, was the woodpile to the right.
It’s quite the woodpile! Come to find out, he runs a “wood bank”. You’ve heard of a food bank, and, perhaps a diaper bank… well, he gives wood to needy senior citizens and disabled vets. Last year, they gave away over 60 cords of wood! I was so impressed.
Plenty of people heat with wood in Wyoming and the Clear Creek Wood Bank has helped many people stay warm. There’s a great article on it HERE. What a great thing to do for your community!

How great that this is happening and helping those in need. We have many food banks that are as busy as ever.
God Bless that man for the work that he does for those in need. And, his little cabins are amazing!
What a wonderful story!
You learn something every day! Doing good is never out of style.
Kudos to the man for his idea and hard work that is helping a lot of
people.
