Finish That Fence

Posted on November 28, 2023

The posts that were pounded in a few days ago finally gained their rails of continuous fence. Brandon and Vernon worked on cutting saddles in the top of the posts and aligning the rest as good as possible. Brandon was there alone welding when I wandered over.

Not the prettiest of fences we’ve ever built, but I bet it’ll do the job! The saddles are the scooped out areas on the top of the post where the top rail sits and makes contact.

It makes for a very strong bond!

The smaller rails are held on by these brackets.

We will call that good!

Wishing Megan and Reagan happy birthday on their actual birth day… Megan requested waffles for her birthday dinner and it was yummy!

It is better to opt for something like a chain link fence, where it will fit with the aesthetic of the building without blocking vision too.
