Big Job

Posted on January 23, 2024

While I was on burn pile duty… Vernon was busy cutting pipe. We buy used pipe and cut it to size to use in fences and corrals.

He built a makeshift rack so he wouldn’t have to bend over…

He does just a few at a time. It’s a rather big job…

And for those of you who were wondering… the big cottonwood tree is still standing, but we will have to knock it down because the fire ate so much of the base.

The house spouse, Dan Miller, and I both enjoyed this as we have built our fence with pipe. Great pipe rack! Thanks, Carol.

Amen to Marilyn’s comment. And thanks for the update on the tree.

Cutting pipe is a huge job requiring strength and skill. Wow! I remember that Ped built the pipe enclosure at the rodeo grounds – years ago. I think he built it with recycled oil field pipe.

Go, Vernon! building a rack to help with this work is terrific. Hope he wears ear plugs and eye protection!
