Winter has been extraordinarily warm and dry except for the one week we were plunged into -35 range. It was predicted this weekend would be full of rain but for over half of today, there wasn’t a raindrop in sight. Vernon returned to a project he’d started. I tagged along because projects are always more fun than dishes and laundry!
We’ve been discussing an enlargement of our corrals and Vernon jumped right in! We’ve all been looking at corral plans… the studies, the current philosophies on livestock handling, Temple Grandin’s ideas, Bud Williams’ ideas, stuff on YouTube, whatever we can Google up.
It makes my brain hurt, figuring gate swings and directions and uphill/downhill and alleys and chutes… but we do know there needs to be a fence line along this hill… so…
Vernon and Daniel had pounded the posts in previously, we simply worked on welding the continuous fence…
