We recently headed to Buffalo and Sheridan, part meeting and part shopping trip. I had Vernon swing by the Wool Mill of Mountain Meadow Wool. It’s a favorite stop of mine… and I’ve written about it before. In a few weeks, I’ll be teaching a needle felting class, and needed some supplies. We will be needle felting a bird… if you’re interested, I made a video a long time ago… here.
I’ve been a fan for years, while many people know the concept of “pasture to plate”, theirs is more “ranch to home”. Back in the day, I remember them only having just a small area for their yarn that they made. Now there are blankets and dryer balls and bags and hats and wool sweaters and rugs and many more items!
I found out I’m not that great at crochet at our library class last week… but if I was…
That’s roving in the large basket I had to pick from…. It’s also what I recently made my mittens from… wonderful stuff. I can tell I’m going to go on a wool creating binge here asap!
If you can’t find something here you’d love to have, I really don’t understand. I’d take many of their items… though I settled for two balls of roving. I encourage you to stop in and tour the place(yes, they give tours of the entire process from fleece to sweater) and then support some sheep ranchers by buying some excellent wool products!

Our only Yarn shop in town is up for sale as owners are retiring. Not sure it will stay a yarn shop as it’s on a busy road with very limited parking. Time will tell. This shop looks amazing. Just looking at the colours inspires you to create!!! But for now I think I have enough crochet blankets. ( from Lucy at Attic24)
How cute is this little bird!? What a nice craft, and the music was perfect!
Looks like a wonderful little shop!
