Dismal

Posted on March 25, 2024

The day started out fairly dismal… The sun did come out finally… just enough to dry the cows off and knock back some of the snow. It’s still not very warm, but it will improve through the week. I drove around and around with Brandon this morning though I didn’t do anything. Things seemed fairly well in hand.

We watched to see if new babies had their milk and Brandon fed a couple some extra from a bottle. I abandoned Brandon and returned home.
I meant to make a movie from the other day, but, no surprise, I got sidetracked. Maybe tomorrow!

I haven’t made a movie in ages. Anyone have questions for a Q&A session? I haven’t done one of those either! Let me know!

I agree that the month of March is the worst for weather, if you live in the northern U.S. But I do love the 4 seasons.

Question: got any plans on having another tipi?

I would like to know how do you tend to your horses? Are they all kept together? Who is responsible for them? Who trims their feet/ put shoes on? Do you vaccinate them? How long do you keep them, forever, or do you sell them after a certain age?

Somewhere in his writings Baxter Black wrote that in Wyoming, “March is the Cruelest Month”.
The weather changes are frequent & fast; one moment is Spring, or at least the hope thereof, and the next is cold and wet with snow or rain.

Hold fast, April is near and closing fast!

Hi! Do you plan to compile James’s Greet’s reminiscences into a booklet and make it available for purchase? Maybe even make a printable collection? Thanks.
