Easter was a busy day… morning egg hunt at Daniel’s… with a skiff of snow helping to hide eggs… then I spent a snowy time setting up my annual scavenger hunt for three teams (Quinlan/Jaxon, Lorelei/Lacee, and Reagan)…
cows were still calving, so Vernon stayed home to keep an eye on them and I jumped in Brandon’s vehicle to head to the town for the egg hunt there. Four inches of slush now clogged the road and rushing to town was not in the cards.
Yes, the neighbor is in front of us and Daniel’s crew behind! Are we crazy for driving in this 20 miles for an egg hunt?
There wasn’t as much snow in town, but enough to cover candy! No one won a bike this year, except for Matthew over in Kaycee at their egg hunt! We returned home to the scavenger hunt where all three teams declared it too easy… I thought I had upped my game, but not enough. Next year I’ll have to work harder! No pics from that, as I was watching the teams run about in the slushy snow and mud, making sure clues weren’t lost, blown away, or too soggy to read.
A family meal followed, at least until everyone had to split to check cows and calves and feed.
I hope your day was just as full and as fun.
My Grandkids would have loved some snow. They have not seen any snow this winter.
Those photos are so very Wyoming! Snow, slush and undaunted kids with Easter baskets. 🙂
Hopefully the snow didn’t dampen their spirits Bet that is a rare occasion on Easter. But it was early this year…
Actually, we expect snow on Easter… early or late!
