Victoria and crew showed up a couple days early, so, YAY! After a rainy morning, we ended the evening with a joint birthday party for Daniel and Lacee. Hamburgers and ice cream cake and funfetti cake made for a nice supper combo.
Then, of course, Toria and I stayed up late visiting.
Precious “cousin time” was spent this morning, test raising my new “play tipi”. Obviously, it needs work… more poles and lower the canvas… but it’s been years since I built a tipi, and it took me a bit to remember how to pitch it.
We then toured the pipeline project. It’s been a busy time!

Cake AND ice cream cake. Yum. I like that the tipi looks like it’s wearing a dress shirt with the collar.
Such a special time when family gets together. Even better when there is cake.
Family fun and visits, and successful ranch work – always time to
celebrate. I do remember several tipi stories you have posted in the past, too.
Happy belated birthday Daniel!
