There’s nothing quite like the joy of coming home to a backed up sewer pipe. All I wanted to do was “veg” after the girls’ first middle school volleyball game, but instead, I spent the next few hours mopping up the floor. I turned on fans and opened windows and called it quits. Vernon had taken the pipe apart and cleaned it and sucked many gallons of water out with a shop vac.
The girls had won their games which was fun to see.
I awoke this morning to continue the mop and clean up job until the boys’ middle school football game. Although we lost by one point, it was still enjoyable to watch.
Who is who?
We skipped the high school game in favor of getting some work done. I got back to it with bleach this time and the fan continues to run. I’ll have stuff to clean out and pitch. Oh, yay.
I’ve wanted to repair the plumbing and gut the bathroom since we moved in this house. I’m ready to be serious about it. It’s done it to us before, multiple times, but I think I’m getting too old for this! Thank goodness I only did two loads of laundry. A plumber will need to come in and replace the 1952 plumbing and a carpenter needs to rip out the old walls and build new. Anybody know anybody?

So sorry…water cleanup is always exhausting. Hope you get everything
repaired for the future.
Ugh! That’s one smelly mess. I had the last flush of the night send it gushing. I was mopping at midnight in my pj’s. Good luck with the plumber.
Oh my gosh! Bless your heart! What a job! At least you had some Joy watching the kiddos in between.
