Born In A Barn ‘24

Posted on September 14, 2024

My annual “fun day off” has arrived.

My sister and I went to Born in A Barn over by Sheridan, Wyoming. It’s a good time and every year it seems to change a bit. It seems like it used to have more vintage items, more repurposed items, than it does now. This time there were more jewelry booths. More purses. While I love jewelry, I do have a pretty good collection… and purses? I have a couple that barely see any use.

All the vintage booths are full of stuff I remember from my childhood… now , isn’t that a statement!

I was taking photos after it had cleared out… at the beginning of the day, you couldn’t have seen the booths!

Denese was drawn to the macrame booth, like last year… which inspired me to make her a macrame present for her birthday in November. I told her I could make additions to last year’s piece if she wanted…

The entertainment was enjoyable…

I was looking for a 30” wide cabinet about 34” tall and around 14” deep. I was willing to paint it up myself… but, unfortunately, couldn’t find anything. I’ll just have to keep my eyes open for something local. I did have luck finding a Victorian style top hat I can use at the library for that “Charles Dickens” look. I don’t know why I’ve wanted one, I just have! Plus, I found a few gifts. Saw a few friends. All in all, a good time!

Thanks, BIAB, for another fun day.
